With a special focus on Bahamian endemic species, regional endemics and migratory birds, we offer a unique experience for nature enthusiasts. Explore potentially over 300 bird species (throughout the entire Bahamas), including six endemics and over 109 wintering resident species, through our guided tours.

As a bonus we also share and highlight other Bahamian aspects of nature such as plants and fauna, geology, natural history and of course, the rich culture of our country!

Avian Bahamas is currently offering tours primarily in Nassau, New Providence and Paradise Island however guided Island hopping tours and single out island tours can be made by special request only and will be offered more regularly soon!

Meet Our Guide

Our experienced guide, Hendrew Haley, brings extensive knowledge of local birds and wildlife, ensuring an enriching experience as you explore the stunning avian diversity of the Bahamas.

"As a child, I was intrigued by the symphony of bird calls that echoed through both the lush and urban landscapes of the islands I called home. Growing up surrounded by nature's wonders, I developed a profound appreciation for the delicate balance of ecosystems and the diverse avian species that inhabit them.

Today, I am privileged to serve as the Curator at a Wildlife Conservation Center, which started as a Botanical Garden, where I am immersed in the relentless beauty and challenges of preserving our natural heritage. Here, I devote myself tirelessly to the well-being of both native and non-native animals, giving them a second chance at life while bridging the connection between humans and nature.

Guiding others through the captivating world of birding is a natural extension of my lifelong passion for the outdoors. While I may be 'relatively' new to formal guiding, officially starting in 2023, my intimate knowledge of local ecosystems and years spent learning and caring for wildlife have honed my ability to lead immersive and enlightening birding expeditions.
